Vision and Values
During the academic Year 23/24 school leaders consulted with staff and the parent community to refresh the school vision, reflecting the current educational landscape the school finds itself in. This includes the post-pandemic educational recovery and the school's recent admission (Feb 23) to our multi-academy trust (The Lighthouse Schools Partnership).
We have identified 3 Golden Valley Keys to Success and outlined what this would look like in our school.
- Sharing Kindness
- Challenging Ourselves and Others
- Achieving Excellence

We also teach the 5 British Values as required by the DFE since November 2014.
"The Department for Education has today (27 November 2014) published guidance on promoting British values in schools to ensure young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain."
The government agreed these values as:
- Democracy
- Rule of law
- Individual liberty
- Mutual respect
- Tolerance of those of different faiths
These values are woven in to the curriculum and wider school offer and are further enhanced using school assemblies.
