Welcome

Welcome to Golden Valley Primary School’s website!

I hope you find the information contained here useful. The website is updated frequently with the latest news and information, calendar dates, copies of all letters sent home, as well as a gallery of children’s displays, work and events.

We are a thriving 2 form entry primary school in Nailsea, South West of Bristol.  With 14 classes from EYFS to Year 6, our vibrant non-denominational school benefits from belonging to the Lighthouse Schools Partnership, a multi-academy trust of over 30 schools.

Our classrooms are calm, purposeful environments where children are engaged by a challenging, broad knowledge-rich curriculum. Reading is at the heart of this. From a strong foundation in phonics and early reading in EYFS and KS1, we continue to develop children's fluency, comprehension and reading for pleasure across the school.

We are extremely proud of our school, our staff, our community and, first and foremost, our inspiring children.

As a staff, we are committed to our own professional development, and the development of our school, so that what we offer our children is based on the most up-to-date research and practice. We believe we can improve, not because we aren't good enough, but because we know we can always be better.

You can resit your GCSEs and A-levels, you can enter further education at any point in adulthood, but we are very aware that you do not get a second childhood! Our care for your children, the nurturing environment we have created and the opportunity to thrive socially and academically within a culture of kindness and respect is cental to ensuring that each and every child thrives and has fun.

It is a real privilege to be the headteacher of Golden Valley Primary School.  Children leave Golden Valley having achieved their very best, with a strong sense of who they are, a respect for diversity and a heart full of childhood memories that will last a lifetime.
